This seven layer dip has all the classics. Refried beans, sour cream, guacamole... Every bite is different and delicious.
16 ounces can refried beans
16 ounces sour cream
1 package taco seasoning mix
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup prepared guacamole
1 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup sliced green onion
1/2 cup sliced black olives
tortilla chips
This old standby is always well received. One can vary the amount of ingredients to their liking.
Spread beans in serving dish. Mix sour cream and taco seasoning and spread over beans. Top with the cheese, dollops of guacamole, then the tomatoes and onions and olives. Serve with Tortilla or desired corn chips.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Love buffalo wings? Get that same hot, zippy flavor in everything from deviled eggs to enchiladas. And of course: wings.

I've made this a dozen times at least now. It's so simple and always is the first dip to disappear. One hint, heat the beans just a little as they will spread much better in the dish. You don't want them hot though, just warmed a little. Can do that in the microwave or on the stovetop.

Addicting!!

Big hit with everyone! I liked that it was meatless and I went one step further and used vegetarian refried beans just so we had another vegetarian option for our guests. Didn't miss the meat though! It was filling and very flavorful. Actually found some really nice avocados for a change which added a lot.

Yummy! Mine got a little watery as it sat - I think from tomatoes/olives, but still delish!

I like that there is no cooking involved with this recipe. Super easy to put together and can be made in advance.
I'm new to cooking, could anyone offer some guidance on amounts of some of these ingredients? Would like to make it for next weekend but I'm not sure how much of each to buy.

this appetizer was a homerun!

Made this when I had some girlfriends over for margaritas. It's so easy and tasted really good. 7-layer dip isn't exactly gourmet but the proportions for this were right on - sometimes they are too heavy on the beans but this was perfect. It was a totally addicting appetizer. Thanks for posting it!

I needed something that I could pack in an insulated bag & leave it in my car for about an hour before arriving at the party & still want to share it with the other guests. This worked out wonderfully. I did make a couple of changes & will make this again! First off I can't eat peppers so even though I did use chunky salsa I basically picked out as much of the peppers as possible (so the next time I make this I will substitute fresh diced tomatoes for the salsa). Secondly I did not have green onion so I just did not use it. (making it a 6 layer dip instead) Several guests told me this was excellent they really enjoyed it (especially one person who was used to a very similar dish that is served hot ~ she was surprised it was cold & then told me it was very good) Thanks for sharing this recipe.

I made this last night for a holiday pot luck, and everyone ate my dish! More than the host's food! I changed a couple of things though: Instead of using avocados I spread spicy guacamole (I used Holy Guacamole brand... amaaaaazing), and I used sliced, not chopped olives. Wonderful recipe! I'm making it again this weekend!
