Slow Cooker Spinach Crab Dip

ingredients
1/4 pound butter, cut into bits
1/2 onion, chopped
1 package (10 ounce size) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 can (6.5 ounce size) crab meat, picked over
directions
Combine the butter, onion, spinach, and parmesan cheese in the crock pot. Gently stir in the crab meat (you don't want to completely shred it).
Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 1 hour or until heated through. Stir it before serving.

I love the flavor of this dip but I like it creamier so I add some cream cheese (about half a block) cut into cubes and stir it in and let it cook until it all melts and is good and mixed. I serve this with toasted slices of french bread.

I add more cheese than this calls for but it is delish either way!!
