Honey crinkle cookies are a simple way to add a homemade treat to any meal. Their easy preparation and delicious taste make them a versatile choice.

2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup honey
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon mace
1/2 teaspoon salt
additional granulated sugar for coating
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine oil and sugar and beat well. Beat in egg, vanilla and honey.
Sift together flour, baking soda, mace and salt. Stir flour mixture into liquid ingredients and mix well to blend.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into granulated sugar and roll into balls. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
Let stand for a minute or so before removing from pan. Cool on wire racks.

Oh, BTW the key to this recipe is the mace. Most recipes don't include it , but it's a big factor in the flavor

Here I am again! I've always loved these. They're a bit crispy after baking, but after a day or so, they soften and get more chewy. I've been inspired to make them this year again to share with some friends and neighbors.

I lost this recipe. So I was searching on the internet for it. Thank goodness it is here! My mom used to make these, and I've been making them myself for years. And I'm 59! They're crispy after they come out of the oven, but after a few days they start to get soft and really chewy. Yummy!
