The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

I had to make these for a class potluck, so I made two batches. After the first one didn't turn out, I made double sure on the measurements. The second one still didn't stay together. The butter and sugar is too low in ratio to other ingredients.
