Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

ingredients
6 large hot dogs
6 squares white American cheese
12 slices bacon
6 hot dog buns
Optional Garnishes
ketchup
mustard
chopped onions
relish
directions
Split the hot dog down the center, and lay cheese inside. Wrap the hot dog and cheese in bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Drop the whole thing into a deep fryer. It will sink in the grease, and when it floats it's done. Serve with hot dog bun and favorite garnishes.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Love buffalo wings? Get that same hot, zippy flavor in everything from deviled eggs to enchiladas. And of course: wings.

I sliced the cheese into 12 squares and not 6 in order to fit them better into the sliced wieners. I also tried to bind them back together with the bacon by wrapping the bacon around the wieners in a sort of spiralling fashion. Once fried and on the buns with garnishes, they were quite the deluxe-style hot dogs!
