It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

A delicious way to dress up some plain hot dogs. Spiral-sliced hot dogs are simmered in a sweet and sour tomato sauce and served on buns.
ingredients
8 hot dogs
4 tablespoons butter
2 cans (10 ounce size) tomato soup, undiluted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
6 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 small onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
8 hot dog buns
directions
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Slice the hot dogs in a spiral-style, taking care not to slice all the way through the hot dogs. Place the hot dogs in the skillet and cook, turning as needed, until browned on all sides.
Add the tomato soup, brown sugar, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, sliced onions, and bell pepper to the skillet. Cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp-tender and the hot dogs are heated through.
Carefully remove the hot dogs from the sauce and place on the buns. Top each with some of the sauce and serve immediately.

Serve over rice. Way better IMHO!
