Not your usual tater tot casserole! This version tosses tater tots with ground beef and tops them with a creamy tomato sauce and parmesan cheese.
2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 package frozen Tater Tots
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can tomato soup
1 can stewed tomatoes (drained)
1/4 cup ketchup
salt and pepper, to taste
grated Parmesan cheese to taste
Brown hamburger and onion, drain. Place in baking dish. Mix in tater tots, salt and pepper and some Parmesan cheese to taste.
Combine soups, stew tomatoes and ketchup. Pour over hamburger mixture. Mix well. Put some more Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes or until hot.

I huge hit in my family! So quick and easy to make. Very filling and cheap as well. We have this at least twice a month and it is always well eaten. I love the way it has wonderful taste and fills me up. Highly recommended!

My sister-in-law made this the day after Thanksgiving for about 10 people (including 5 kids under 8). It was easy to make, and a hit! I am ready to make it for my family!

My man will LOVE this!!! He loves beef, and tater tots with cheese (yeah, he can be such a kid). Anyway, to answer the question on what temperature to cook them at: It should be at about 350.

Do I layer the ingredients and put the tater tots on top?

A must try recipe. All three of my kids loved it. Including my husband. The kids actually ate theirs all up. It's for sure a receipe that kids will love.
