Souped Up Tater Tot Casserole

1 pound ground turkey (or beef)
1 medium onion, diced
1 package (10 ounce size) frozen green beans, thawed
1 can (14 ounce size) chicken gumbo soup
1 can (14 ounce size) chicken rice soup
1 can (14 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
1 package tater tots

directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Brown the turkey and onion in a skillet on medium heat. Place in the bottom of a 13x9 baking dish.

Place the green beans over the turkey in an even layer.

Combine the three soups in a saucepan and heat on medium heat. Stir to completely combine them. Pour over the green bean layer in the casserole.

Place the tater tots in an even layer on top of the soup. Place casserole in the oven and bake for 30-45 minutes or until tater tots are cooked through and golden brown.

    Too much liquid. Skip one of the chicken soups and it would be perfect. My kids love tater tots so we've tried a variety of these types of casseroles. I like that this used ground turkey but it ended up too soupy for our tastes. It wasn't casserole like. Flavor was really good but you had to eat it with a spoon.
