Stuffed Peppers With Sour Cream Sauce

Green bell peppers are filled with ground beef, oats, egg, onion, and chili sauce and then topped with a zesty ketchup-sour cream sauce.

ingredients
3 large green bell peppers, cut into halves lengthwise
1/4 cup water
1 pound extra lean ground beef
1/3 cup rolled oats
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon onion, minced
1/2 cup chili sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 cup water
1 cup fat-free sour cream
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
directions
Arrange pepper in 8x12 glass baking dish; sprinkle with 1/4 cup water. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Microwave on High for 4 minutes, turning once after 2 minutes.
Combine ground beef, oats, egg, onion, chili sauce, salt, pepper and oregano in 1 quart glass dish; mix well. Microwave for 7-8 minutes or until ground beef is crumble, stirring occasionally.
Spoon mixture into pepper halves. Arrange in glass baking dish; Sprinkle with 1/4 cup water. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave for 10 minutes; drain.
Combine sour cream, ketchup and garlic salt in 2 cup glass measuring cup. Microwave for 2 minutes or until heated through. Pour over stuffed peppers.
