Bell peppers are stuffed with ground beef, onion, and rice and topped with spaghetti sauce in a crock pot.
1 pound ground beef
1 1/2 cup cooked rice
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 medium green bell peppers
1 jar (32 ounce size) spaghetti sauce
Combine the ground beef, rice, onion, seasoned salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix with your hands until the seasonings are incorporated.
Cut the top 3/4-inch off each bell pepper. Discard the tops and remove the seeds from the peppers.
Spoon the beef mixture into each bell pepper, dividing it evenly between them.
Place the filled peppers in the crock pot. Evenly pour the spaghetti sauce over the peppers so they are coated.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6 hours or until the beef is cooked through and the peppers are tender.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

I am making these for tomorrow. Instead of foil at the bottom, I am choosing to lay down 2 thick slices of onion in hopes the peppers don't stick to crock pot.

Made these for dinner tonight. Instead of spaghetti sauce I used two big cans of red pack tomato sauce brown sugar and garlic powder mixed for my sauce. It was absolutely delicious! Such an easy recipe! Will make again thank you for sharing!

What I do is put some crumpled foil on the bottom of my crock pot and put the peppers on top of that so they are not sitting in liquid. Pour the sauce evenly over the tops so they are totally coated but then just add water to the bottom of the crock (so you aren't just wasting sauce). The water will steam the peppers and they get so good and tender without being soggy. I make this frequently. I sometimes use those pre-cooked rices that come flavored you just microwave them for 90 seconds - like spanish rice or other flavored. So easy and so good.

The peppers were good but the sauce got very watery so I had to remove the peppers and then cook down the sauce.

My 2 1/2 year old loved it and so did my husband. The flavor was really good. I baked it instead of using the crockpot and it was still great!
