Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Bow Tie Salmon

ingredients
3/4 pound bowtie pasta
3/4 pound salmon fillets
1 cup canned milk or cream
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 package (10 ounce size) frozen baby peas
3 scallions, sliced
1/4 cup minced fresh dill
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
salt and pepper, to taste
directions
Cook pasta in boiling salted water. Slice salmon and set aside.
In a small saucepan, combine canned milk and wine. Simmer 3 minutes and add peas, scallions, mustard, dill, salt and pepper.
Just before draining pasta, add salmon to pot. Put drained pasta into saucepan, toss and correct the seasoning.
