1 cup barley
1 cup steel cut oats
1 cup wheat berries
10 cups water
1 banana, peeled and sliced
1 apple, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins, or a combination
1/2 cup chopped pecans or almonds
1 tablespoon butter
brown sugar to taste
ground cinnamon to taste
Combine all the ingredients in the crock pot the night before. Cover and cook on low heat overnight (6-8 hours).
Serve topped with milk in individual bowls. Sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon if desired.
