1/2 cup butter
4 cups diced potatoes
1 package (10 ounce size) diced frozen carrots
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 pound Polish sausage, sliced
3 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Using a large saucepan, brown onion in butter. Add the potatoes, carrots, green pepper, sausage, water, salt and pepper. Cook on low, for about 45 minutes or until the potatoes are creamy. Add milk and cook until heated through and then add instant potato flakes.
If you want a creamy potato soup add a fourth more potato flakes. Let the soup sit for approximately 5 minutes in order to thicken and then serve.

Nutritional data has not been calculated yet. This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
