8 ounces semisweet chocolate
10 tablespoons margarine
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
Combine chocolate and 6 tbsp. margarine in a saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth. Remove from heat, then cool for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, beat 1-1/4 cups sugar and 3 eggs until well blended. Blend in 1-1/2 cups flour, baking powder, salt and 1 tsp. vanilla. Stir in cooled chocolate mixture. Spread batter in prepared pan.
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, the remaining 3/4 cup sugar and 4 tbsp. margarine until smooth. Beat in remaining egg and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup flour.
Spread mixture over chocolate batter. Gently swirl batters together using tip of a knife.
Bake for 40 minutes or until set. Cool in pan on a rack.
