Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

This recipe was tried tonight alongside two others. This was the easiest and had great flavor. But since the cornmeal is mixed together with the meat filling (not as a topping), presentation wasn't as pretty as those with cornmeal mixed separately and layered on top. Changes = used shredded pork instead of hamburger and added fresh Cilantro, fresh Oregano. Wonderful flavor.
