Easy Mussels Marinara

ingredients
2 pounds mussels
1 cup white wine or beer
1/2 small onion
2 cloves garlic
1 quart marinara sauce
4 tablespoons olive oil
directions
Scrape mussels clean and mince the onion and garlic.
In a tall pot, saute the spices in olive oil until they are translucent (don't burn the garlic). Add the wine and bring to a boil. Add the mussels, cover pot and cook until mussels are fully opened (discard unopened mussels).
In a separate pot, bring the marinara sauce to a boil, then pour it over the mussels. Turn heat off and serve over linguini or with garlic bread.
