ingredients
1 cup freshly grated daikon (Asian radish)
1 bunch green onions, cut into 2-inch slices
1 1/2 pound sirloin tip, sliced very thinly
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
12 fresh shiitake mushrooms, sliced
1/2 pound fresh bean sprouts, washed
1 large yellow onion, peeled and sliced
Sauce
1 lemon, juiced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon Korean chili pepper sauce (Ko chao jung)
1/2 teaspoon instant Asian soup stock (dashi, found in Japanese grocery store)
directions
Blend all sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Ladle out sauce into individual bowls and top each portion with 1/4 cup daikon and 1 tablespoon green onions.
At the table, in an electric skillet or outside using a grill wok on the grill, brush the beef slices and vegetables with a little of the vegetable oil and cook on both sides until done. Dip cooked meat and vegetables in sauce as desired.
