It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Sloppy Joes may be simple, but that doesn't mean they need to be boring. This slow-cooker venison recipe has an arsenal of flavors like dijon, cumin, and chili powder for some outstanding Joes.

1/4 pound bacon
2 pounds venison stew meat
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup wine vinegar
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon prepared Dijon mustard
1 cup ketchup
salt and pepper, to taste
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly browned. Remove from skillet, crumble and set aside. Brown stew meat in bacon grease for flavor.
Put onion, sugar, vinegar, cumin, chili powder, garlic, mustard, ketchup, salt and pepper in slow cooker and mix well. Add bacon and venison and stir together.
Cook for a minimum of 8 hours on low setting. Use a fork to separate meat into a thick and yummy Sloppy Joe-style barbecue.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

We had some rib meat left in the freezer. Not the best meat from a deer to say the least. I was trying to find something to use it with and this was just PEFECT!! I made it exactly as posted although I used Rice Vinegar as I didn't have wine. It was delicious!! Left in the crock pot for about 9 hours but if I do it again with the same meat will probably budget for 10-12 hours. This is a great recipe to use your rib or stew venison.
