If you've ever had a kid addicted to chicken nuggets then you'll understand why this is a great casserole that we can all enjoy. My 4 yr old will ONLY eat nuggs right now and this recipe (among others) are helping introduce him to some other flavors along with his precious nuggs. I use gluten free nuggets and I use my own homemade spaghetti sauce which I know he'll eat because it's mild.

We loved it served over spaghetti. Now we have adapted it to have penne pasta mixed with additional sauce all in one pan under the original casserole recipe and it is easy and fabulous. We also enjoy this with jar alfredo sauce as well as spaghetti sauce. We call it Poor Man's Parmesan Chicken. Thanks for the springboard for a great one dish casserole!
