Directions:

Rinse cube steak with water. Sprinkle seasonings on both sides. Coat cube steak with flour. Then dip into egg. Then coat with flour again. Place in hot oil. Fry approximately 3 min. and turn over. It should not take the cube steak long to cook. When done, remove from pan and place on paper towel to drain oil.

Variation: Same ingredients as above. Just brown the cube steak on both sides. Place in baking dish. Dilute a can of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup. Use same size can to dilute using either milk or water. Pour over cube steak, cover with aluminum foil. Bake on 350* until steak is done.

Notes: The number of eggs, amount of flour, and oil varies with the number of cube steaks used. Seasonings are to taste. I have added: celery seeds, red pepper flakes, onion powder, small pinch of sage, parsley and chives.(Not all at the same time, of course). I serve fried steak with butter noodles and broccoli. Serve the fried/baked steak with rice, creamed potatoes(mashed), or noodles and a good vegetable side dish. Note: If you let meat get to room temperature, it always seems to come out better.
