INGREDIENTS:

1 pint half and half
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
6 crab legs

DIRECTIONS:

In a saucepan melt butter. When butter is melted add the cream cheese. When the cream cheese is softened add heavy cream and the Parmesan Cheese. Add Garlic Powder, and stir well. Simmer this for 15 - 20 minutes on low. You may wish to season with a little salt and pepper. Once again, a true person would not use the cream cheese, but it does help thicken the sauce up, without much difference to the taste, you can omit it, just be prepared to stay with the sauce a little longer to thicken it.

Boil crab legs as you normally would in boiling water, crack open legs, lightly paper towel the meats so that you get the excess water off, and place the meats on top of the alfredo sauce and pasta.

This was so quick and easy....and actually tasted pretty close to real. I would have liked it slightly thicker and instead of crab i used chicken cubes and broccoli... YUM!

My husband is Italian and used to the home cooking of his grandmother as a child. When I made this, he loved it! We both thought it was delicious. I substituted scallops once and clams another time instead of the crab. Whipped cream works better than half and half, though way more calories I imagine.

Although I substituted a bunch of ingredients, it still turned out ok. It was a little salty, but I blame the garlic salt I substituted for garlic powder. Would recommend for a quick side dish sauce, not necessarily a main course.
