ingredients
36 maraschino cherries with stems
1 package (12 ounce size) chocolate chips
6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 can (14 ounce size) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon maraschino cherry juice
1 cup chopped pecans
directions
Lightly coat an 8-inch square pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
Blot cherries dry with paper towels. Combine chocolate in a heavy saucepan, place over low heat and stir constantly until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and add sweetened condensed milk and cherry juice, stirring until smooth. Stir in pecans.
Spoon mixture into prepared pan. Immediately press cherries into fudge, leaving top of cherry and stem exposed.
Cover and chill fudge for 2 hours or until firm. Cut fudge into squares (around cherries).
