Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.

Dump cakes are not only easy to make, but everyone loves them! This version is made with cherry pie filling that's topped with dry yellow cake mix and pecans.
1 can (21 ounce size) cherry pie filling
1/2 box (15-18 ounce size) yellow cake mix
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter, slightly softened
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Evenly spread the cherry pie filling in the bottom of a 8x8 baking dish.
In a bowl, combine the dry cake mix, pecans, and butter until it is a crumbly (a fork works well for this).
Evenly sprinkle the cake mix crumbs over the cherry pie filling in the dish. Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
Try different combinations of fruit pie fillings and cake mixes.
For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of almond extract to the pie filling or a sprinkle of cinnamon to the cake mix before baking.
Sprinkle a handful of shredded coconut or chocolate chips over the top for added texture and flavor.
To make it more decadent, drizzle caramel sauce or chocolate sauce over the warm dump cake before serving.
For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free cake mix and make sure all other ingredients are gluten-free as well.
If the top of the dump cake browns too quickly, tent it with foil to prevent burning while baking.
A dump cake is a type of dessert where the ingredients are simply "dumped" into a baking dish, making it quick and easy to prepare.
You can use different fruit pie fillings such as apple, peach, or blueberry. Either canned or homemade if you have it.
You can experiment with different flavors of cake mix such as white, chocolate, or lemon. Just pair it appropriately with the flavor of pie filling you use.
If you have nut allergies or prefer a different flavor, you can substitute pecans with almonds, walnuts, or omit them altogether.
Store any leftover dump cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat individual servings in the microwave before serving.
You can freeze dump cake either baked or unbaked. If freezing unbaked, cover tightly with foil and freeze. Bake from frozen, adding extra time as needed.
Dump cake is best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

I made this dessert and took it to a church potluck. I doubled the recipe. I did change a couple of things in the recipe. I sprayed the baking pan with butter spray first. The other change was I used butter instead of margarine. Oh and becauseit was a church function, no nuts. The dessert was a hit! There was nothing left. The pan clean up was super easy. I will make this dessert again. Thank you for the recipe.

The Cherry Dump Cake was so easy & delicious. I want to experiment with different pie fillings & cake mixes. I would rate this 5 star recipe. I like to bake & this tasted like a dessert that took a lot of time, & it didn't. Very good!

So good! To serve it we just scoop it into a bowl with some french vanilla ice cream. YUM!
Question before I make this: What size baking dish did you use to make this in, 9x13, 8x8, 9x9, other???
Other recipes similar to this use an 8x8 pan.

Had this at a friend's house and she gave me the recipe. Made it myself a few days later and have to tell you that it's to die for! I never would have tried it myself if I hadn't had someone else prepare it for me first. It seems too simplistic but it works. I'm going to also try it with other flavors of pie filling and maybe other cake mixes. Has anyone done something with chocolate cake mix before?

Easy to make, great eaten hot with custard. The sweet pecans complement the tart cherries beautifully. Delicious!
