Basic Cake Mix Recipe

Ingredients:
8 cups cake flour
6 cups white sugar
1/4 cup baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
Directions:
In a large bowl, sift together cake flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. With a pastry blender, cut in shortening until evenly distributed. Put in a large air-tight container. Label. Store in a cool, dry place. Use within 10 to 12 weeks.
