1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 large egg


8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 pound confectioners' sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Mix together bar ingredients. Press into a 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Mix filling ingredients. Pour over cake mixture and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top. Cool and cut into squares.

I rated this recipe 5 because it is an easy and tasty recipe with one exception in the ingredients. The filling was a little too runny , but I feel 2 eggs will make it just right other than 3. I think 2-8 oz bars of cream cheese may make it a little to stiff; harder to spread. I took a picture with my cell phone and I hope it is accepted.

I recommend using only two (2) eggs; using three makes it too gooey.

REVIEW: recipe rating
this recipe takes FOREVER to solidify. It makes me question whether or not there was enough cream cheese (2 8oz vs the noted 1 8oz). This recipe should be modified.
