Elegant Mushroom Burgers

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound ground beef
4 tablespoons A-1 steak sauce
1 tablespoon margarine
1/4 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
mushroom caps for garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Mix beef lightly with 3 Tb. steak sauce in bowl. Shape into patties. Pan fry patties in large skillet until beef is done as you like.
Remove to heated platter, melt margarine in same skillet Add mushrooms, onion, remaining A-1 steak sauce, cream, salt and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, until thickened.
Put a burger on each bun. Top with mushroom mixture. Garnish each burger with a mushroom cap if desired.
