ingredients
1 pound beef cubes
3 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 large onion, chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 large carrot, sliced
1 can sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup tomato paste
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
2 teaspoons oregano
1 can (14.5 ounce. size) stewed tomatoes
1 pound dry spaghetti pasta
directions
Coat beef with flour and arrange in an ungreased baking dish. Bake at 500 degrees F for 20 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes.
Gradually add broth and wine to beef. Stir to scrape the browned bits free. Stir in onion, garlic, carrot, mushrooms, tomato paste, parsley, oregano and tomatoes.
Cover tightly and bake until beef is tender, about 2 1/2 hours, stirring once or twice.
Cook pasta and serve beef over pasta.
