Spaghetti sauce needs to cook slow which is why the crockpot is the best choice for it. I've made this recipe several times now and it's perfect exactly as written.

I browned the sausage first then added everything to the crock pot. The sauce was very good, lots of flavor!

Great recipe! I used hot italian turkey sausage, diced tomatoes with green chiles, and added some crushed dried red pepper to really heat things up. I made a full recipe and froze what we didn't eat and it reheated nicely.

This recipe EXACTLY like my mother used to make. I had never tried it before using a crock pot, but it turned out great. I used hot italian sausage to make it spicier and we loved it.

I loved this recipe. It was the second slow cooker recipe I have tried since I got my crock pot. My husband loved it! The one thing I did differently is I browned the sausage before I put it all in. The consistency was perfect. I will be making this again!
