Orange Sour Cream Poppy Seed Cake

Cake
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon poppy seed
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup light sour cream
1 egg
2 teaspoons freshly grated orange peel
1/3 cup orange juice
Glaze
6 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 tablespoon orange juice
directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Stir together flour, poppy seed, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Combine sugar and butter in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add sour cream, egg and orange peel. Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
Reduce speed to low. Beat, gradually adding flour mixture alternately with orange juice and scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
Spread into a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Meanwhile, stir together glaze ingredients in a small bowl. Drizzle over warm cake. Serve warm or cool.
