Creamsicle Cake


This tasty cake not only has all the flavors of the classic creamsicle, but it also is designed to look like it with the layers of orange and white. Start with a simple orange cake mix, top with orange jello, and end with a layer of creamy white pudding frosting.

ingredients

1 box (18.25 ounce size) orange cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
1 package orange gelatin powder
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
***Topping***
1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 package orange jello
1 cup cold milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 package (8 ounce size) cool whip whipped topping

directions

Bake orange cake according to the directions. using the ingredients called for on the package.

Poke holes in cake after it is baked

Mix orange Jello with boiling water. Add cold water. Dissolve and pour over cake. Refrigerate until cooled completely.

Beat vanilla pudding, orange Jello and cold milk until thickened. Add vanilla. Fold in cool whip and spread on cooled cake.
