Easy Bacon Cheddar Jalapeno Poppers

ingredients
1 block (16 ounce size) Cheddar cheese
6 jalapeno peppers
12 slices bacon
directions
Preheat the broiler.
Slice the jalapenos in half and scoop out the seeds with a small spoon or knife. Slice the cheese into pieces and press into the jalapeno halves. Wrap each jalapeno half with a slice of bacon and secure the ends with a toothpick.
Place the jalapenos on a baking sheet and place in the oven, 4 inches from the broiler. Broil for 5-10 minutes or until the bacon is browned and the cheese is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes, then serve warm.
These can be made ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to cook
