It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

A little heat, a little sweet, and a whole lot of flavor - that's what you can expect from these stuffed jalapenos. Jalapeno peppers are stuffed with boudin sausage and then wrapped in bacon and oven-baked.

12 fresh jalapenos
seasoned salt
1 link boudin (Lousiana rice sausage)
12 slices raw bacon
toothpicks, as needed
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise. Carefully scrape out the seeds and white membrane. Lightly salt the insides of the jalapenos.
Remove the casing from the boudin and crumble the meat. Stuff each jalapeno with the boudin.
Wrap each jalapeno half with a half-slice of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks as needed.
Place the jalapenos on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until the jalapenos are soft and the boudin is heated through. The jalapenos can also be grilled.
Remove the stuffed jalapenos from the oven and serve hot.

Love the spinach dip at restaurants like TGIFriday's and the Olive Garden? Make it at home with these easy-to-follow copycat recipes.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
