Combine cake mix, gelatin, flour, water and eggs. Beat 2 minutes. Add strawberries with syrup to batter and beat 1 minute. Add oil and beat 1 minute.
Pour into two (9-inch) round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 35 minutes. When cooled, frost with Strawberry Frosting.
For Frosting: Beat butter until smooth. Add sugar, alternating with strawberries and syrup until smooth. Add vanilla extract and, if necessary, thin with a little milk or cream to spreading consistency.
Made this for valentine's day and it was a huge hit! I garnished it with fresh strawberry slices that were cut in heart shapes. I forgot to get a photo before everyone dug into it!

The cake turned out very nice and moist and very pink. The frosting is overly sweet I thought though and maybe could have just used a cream cheese frosting instead mixed with the strawberries.

I don't know why this only had a 1 star rating. I actually didn't notice that until I came back to write a review. It turned out perfect for me!!! Would have been nice if the other reviewer said why it wasn't good because I had no problems with it and it's a very pretty cake.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
