Bread Pudding Sauce

ingredients
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup margarine or butter
8 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
directions
Put sugar and cornstarch in pan and mix and cook until butter is melted. Add milk and cook, stirring until it boils. Boil one minute and remove from heat. Add vanilla.
Makes a lot of sauce but it is great on bread pudding or custard pie.
