4 cups water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 apple, peeled, cored and diced
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Combine all ingredients in crockpot the night before. Cover; cook on low overnight. Serve in the morning.

Nov 14, 2013 vamooseMember since: October 4, 2013 I cooked it on "warm" in my crock pot and it turned out good. MUst be a recipe written a long time ago because newer crocks are too hot to cook on low overnight for something like this. Sep 6, 2006 Guest Foodie This works in one of my crock pots but not the other. You need one that cooks at lower heat than some of the new ones do. Or, cook it on warm if your crock has it (my hot one doesn't)
