While thought of as a Southern U.S. tradition, this cocktail really only shines during the Kentucky Derby each year. Made from bourbon whiskey, mint, water, and sugar the mint is only lightly bruised before mixing and serving the drink over shaved ice. With the increased popularity of the "Mojito" drink, most bars stock fresh mint year around so ordering this classic cocktail has become easier.
