Rum Bundt Cake

A rich and moist rummy cake batter gets baked in a Bundt pan and glazed with a sweet rum icing. You'll never know it started with a box of yellow cake mix!

ingredients

1 box (18.25 ounce size) yellow cake mix
1 package vanilla instant pudding mix
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup rum
4 large eggs

Glaze

1 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon rum

directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Grease and flour the bundt pan. Mix all ingredients together and pour into pan. Bake for 1 hour.

For Glaze: Boil all everything but the rum for 1 minute. Add rum and pour around edge of pan on hot cake. Let sit 1/2 hour and turn over onto a serving platter.

    Just made this today. WOW! Not only was it easy to make but it tasted great. I used French Vanilla pudding and Myers Dark Rum to make it more decadent and then sprinkled with powdered sugar on top. Definitely a good cake for the holidays.
