You can easily substitute nondairy whipped topping (Cool Whip) in place of the prepared topping mix and change out the pie filling flavor (pretty much any flavor will yield the same delicious results). You can also use cut up fresh fruit in place of the pie filling. For an alternate presentation, layer the cake pieces, whipped topping, and pie filling in a glass bowl.
under 30 minutes
ingredients
1/2 prepared angel food cake, cut in bite-size pieces
2 packages dry whipped topping mix, plus ingredients needed to prepare
1 cup powdered sugar
1 box (8 ounce size) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 can (21 ounce size) cherry pie filling, or other flavor pie filling
directions
Prepare the whipped topping mix as directed on package in a large bowl. Stir in the powdered sugar and cream cheese until well blended.
Fold in the cake pieces being careful not to completely mash them into the mix (they should still be cake-like).
Place the creamy cake mixture into a decorative serving bowl and top with the cherry pie filling. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
