ingredients
1 cup pearl tapioca
5 cups water
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups brown sugar
1 cup dates
1/2 cup chopped nuts
directions
Soak the tapioca in water overnight (at least 8 hours), salt included.
In the morning, add remaining ingredients. Bake for 1 1/2 hours in a moderate (350 degrees F) oven.
Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
