Butterscotch Tapioca

ingredients
3 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
directions
Mix tapioca, salt and milk in heavy-bottomed pan and let stand 5 minutes. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, about 6 minutes, until mixture comes to full boil. Remove from heat.
Melt butter in small skillet and stir in brown sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until sugar melts and bubbles for 1 minute. Stir into tapioca mixture and add pecans.
Serve warm or cold.
