recipe tips

To add a different flavor, mix in a tablespoon of horseradish or Worcestershire sauce.

Serve the dip with an assortment of crackers, sliced baguette, or vegetable sticks.

To make a creamier dip, you can add more mayonnaise or cream cheese to the mixture.

For a decorative presentation, pipe the dip into a hollowed-out bell pepper or small bread bowl before serving.

Add a sprinkle of smoked paprika on top of the dip for a smoky flavor.

How should I store the leftover dip?

Is there a substitute for heavy cream?

You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk for a lighter version of the dip.

What other garnishes can I use besides chives?

Experiment with different herbs such as parsley or dill, or add a sprinkle of paprika or cayenne pepper.

How can I make this dip spicier?

Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce to the mixture.

tools needed

Electric Mixer: For achieving a creamy texture when mixing the cream cheese with the braunschweiger, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic salt, onion, and heavy cream. A hand mixer can also be used if an electric mixer is not available.

Mixing Bowl: For combining the cream cheese with the other ingredients. Make sure the bowl is large enough to accommodate all the ingredients.

Serving Bowl: For transferring the completed braunschweiger dip before refrigerating. Make sure the bowl is both functional and aesthetically pleasing for presentation.

Spatula: Helpful for scraping down the sides of the mixing bowl to make sure all ingredients are fully incorporated. Can also be used to transfer the dip to the serving bowl.

what goes with it?

Pretzel Bites: The salty crunch of pretzel bites will provide the perfect contrast to the creamy texture of the Braunschweiger dip.

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers: Spice up your snack game with the perfect combination of heat from the jalapenos and creamy goodness of the liver sausage dip.

Crispy Baguette Slices: Toast up some baguette slices until they are golden and crispy. The crunch factor will take the Braunschweiger dip to the next level.
