Easy Jell-O Popcorn Balls

ingredients
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 bag (10.5 ounce size) miniature marshmallows
1 package (4-serving size) Jell-o gelatin, any flavor
3 quarts popped popcorn
1 cup cocktail peanuts (optional)
directions
Microwave butter and marshmallows in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed. Stir in gelatin until well mixed.
Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn and peanuts in large bowl. Mix lightly until well coated. Shape into balls or other shapes with greased or wet hands.
For Candy Corn Popcorn Balls: Prepare Popcorn Balls as directed above using JELL-O Orange Flavor Gelatin and substituting 1 cup candy corn for the peanuts.
