1 cup bulgur wheat, uncooked
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups boiling water
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly oil a 1 quart baking dish or spray with a nonstick cooking spray.
Place bulgur, basil, salt and pepper in prepared baking dish. Add boiling water and mix well. Cover tightly and bake 20 minutes. Fluff with a fork, add pecans, and mix well. Serve hot.

I've made this many times. Great for company! Easy prep, bakes while you chat, a little different (to impress guests) but has broad appeal. It's a staple of mine!
