A strawberry-lemonade champagne punch with ginger ale for extra fizz is much more worthy of any celebration or a New Year's countdown and a ball drop.

5 cups very cold water
3 cans (6 ounce size) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced and chilled
2 bottles (750-milliliter size) dry champagne, chilled
1 bottle (1-liter size) ginger ale, chilled
Thaw the lemonade concentrate in the refrigerator so it is well chilled. All the ingredients should be well chilled before combining.
Combine the water and lemonade concentrate in a punch bowl. Stir in the strawberries. Mix well.
Gently stir in the champagne and ginger ale. Serve immediately.
