Green Beans or Peas for Baby
- add review
- #23961

under 30 minutes
ingredients
2 pounds green beans
directions
Steam or gently boil the green beans until tender (takes about 6-9 minutes depending). Immediately put the beans into an ice water bath when cook time is up.
Drain the beans and place in a food processor. Add desired liquid (formula, water, milk, etc., depending on baby's dietary requirements) and puree. Add more liquid as desired. It should be a slightly thick puree, not overly liquidy.
You can pour the puree into ice cube trays or other freezer-safe containers and freeze until needed.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
