I didn't think dogs were allowed to eat sugar and this recipe calls for it. I just got a dog and need some information regarding feeding him sugar. Thank you.
The amount of sugar called for in the recipe is pretty small and probably won't affect the recipe if you choose to omit it.

I baked these a little longer as suggested and they were good and crunchy. My pups loved them! I'd like to come up with an alternative to the whole wheat flour though if anyone has suggestions for a non-grain substitute.

My dogs really enjoyed these treats and I will make again. For crunchier treats bake a little longer. Many thanks for this biscuit recipe :-).

My puppy gave this 2 paws up. It was a very easy recipe with ingredients you have in your own kitchen. It was a very big hit with everyone that I gave it to. I placed a dog bone cookie cutter, or a dog cookie cutter in the gift bag as well as cooked bones wrapped in plastic wrap with a ribbon on it, added dog gift tags and some craft ideas of my own, be creative. I recommend this recipe to the hard to buy for person that has a dog. My puppy loved these, you will too.
