Chicken and mushrooms are slow cooked in an onion soup sauce. Sour cream and cooked pasta are stirred in, making a creamy and flavorful dinner with little effort.

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 cups water
1 tablespoon minced garlic
8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
1 package (8 ounce size) fat-free sour cream
2 tablespoons fresh chopped chives (optional)
8 ounces uncooked angel hair pasta
Grease the inside of a crock pot.
Combine the chicken, onion soup mix, water, garlic, and mushrooms and place in the crock pot.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3 hours or until the chicken is cooked.
Cook the pasta as directed on the package and drain well. Stir into the chicken mixture in the crock pot along with the sour cream and chives. Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve the chicken and angel hair pasta hot.

I had all the ingredients on hand so I wanted to try a recipe like this. I only added 1/3 cup water instead of one cup and I didn't add the sour cream until I added the pasta -which I cooked separately and stirred in and let it all heat through. 5 stars for my way :)
