Angel Hair Pasta With Creamy Mushroom Sauce

ingredients
4 ounces angel hair pasta (capellini)
1 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1 package (3 ounce size) cream cheese, cut into cubes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons snipped chives
directions
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
Meanwhile, for sauce, in a medium saucepan cook the mushrooms and onion in the margarine or butter until vegetables are tender. Stir in cream cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Gradually stir in milk and chives; heat through.
Pour sauce over pasta. Toss to coat. Serve immediately.

I made this for a topping for about 40 people. We served 2 other topping but this was the favorite of the night. I still get calls for the recipe. It was easy to make with wonderful taste. Thank you
