The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 cup softened butter
4 tablespoons sugar
2 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup ground pecans
powdered sugar
directions
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla.
Mix in flour and pecans. Mix well.
Form dough into 1 inch balls.
Bake on greased cookie sheet in preheated 350 degrees F oven for 20-25 minutes.
Cool, then roll each cookie in powdered sugar

Simple recipe but turned out pretty well. I might use almond extract next time instead of vanilla
