1-2 hrs
ingredients
7 tablespoons butter, softened
4 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup flour
1 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 teaspoons baking powder
directions
In a bowl, beat the butter until fluffy. Alternately beat in the eggs and sugar, then beat in all the other ingredients. Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour, or until it is firm.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch and pattern the surface by pressing it with the small holes of a box grater. Cut out round cookies, each about 2 inches across.
Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven until pale gold, about 12 to 15 minutes.
